Spicy Cranberry Apple Sauce

Slightly Modified a Connoisseurus Veg Recipe | Serves: 3 | Time: ~20 min + chill time


6 oz frozen #cranberries

1 small granny smith #apple, peeled and diced

1 fresh #jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely diced

3/4 cups apple juice

1/4 cup coconut sugar

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Dash of salt


Place all ingredients in medium saucepan and stir a few times to blend.

Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Lower heat and allow to simmer, stirring frequently, until most of the berries have burst and liquid is thick and syrupy, about 10-15 minutes.

Allow to cool before serving. I refrigerated overnight. Then served over some warmed up rosemary pumpkin biscuits using another Connoisseurus Veg recipe.
